2019

How We Met

Angel: In 2019, I met Joel at the University of Manchester campus in the UK, where we both were completing our undergraduate studies. I was ahead of Joel by a year and I invited him to the church that I was attending, Holy Trinity Platts Church, with our friends. Our relationship had our fair share of struggles and joys, but we learned how to navigate them together which strengthened our relationship.

What We Are On The Same Page About

Joel: The more we spent time with one another, the more we realised that our faith in Christ connected us and is deeply rooted in our upbringing as well. Faith and family remains a big focus in our lives and will be a big part us wherever we go.

Favourite Activities To Do Together

Angel: In Manchester, we liked to hike and cook different recipes together with our friends. My favourite dish that Joel cooked would have to be the Prawn Mee he made by using all the prawn heads he kept over weeks to make the stock. Being away from Singapore just made the meal so comforting.
